Senior Managing Director / Global Head - Financial Risk Management

As Managing Director & Global Head of the Financial Risk Solutions Group for Fifth Third Bank, Bob is responsible for the trading and delivery of risk management products (Interest Rate, Commodity and Foreign Exchange Derivatives) to corporate and institutional clients throughout North America, Europe and Asia.  Bob has over 25 years of capital markets experience in developing comprehensive risk management solutions. He joined Fifth Third Bank in 2000.  Prior to Fifth Third, Bob led KEY Bank’s FX efforts and expanded their operations nationally.  Bob is a member of the Market Participant Group which operates under the auspices of the Markets Committee of the Bank for International Settlements. The group’s objective is to facilitate the establishment of a single global code of FX standards and principles to be adopted across jurisdictions globally, to maintain and enhance principles-based approaches to best practices, and to develop proposals to promote and incentivize adherence to the code.

Bob has been a frequent contributor to the Dow Jones News Service, Bloomberg, MSNBC, and other financial media. Bob earned a BA in Economics from the College of Wooster and a MBA in Management from Baldwin-Wallace University. He is active in several organizations, including the College of Wooster Board of Trustees, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Flashes of Hope, and the United Way of Greater Cleveland.
